Brooklyn Telemann Chamber Society
The Brooklyn Telemann Chamber Society is focused on bringing historically informed performance practice of lesser known and lesser produced Baroque repertoire to its NYC audience in an accessible, intimate, and unique setting. Our creative interpretations of these historic scores help promote social justice issues while simultaneously providing resume enhancing performance opportunities to femme & queer musicians. We are pioneering the new genre of Opera Cinema.

Shows & concerts are being confirmed for the 2024/2025 season. We are currently in production for Phèdre: Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie but are programming live performances of Charpentier’s David et Jonathas and are considering Telemann’s Miriways. (We are playing with non traditional castings and are open to countertenors and sopranos for roles that are not traditionally sung by either voice type.) We are hard at work acquiring grants and funding to make this upcoming season a reality for us. Any audition donations go directly into the funding of our productions. We are a not for profit organization. ❤️
